Month Overview - Gratitude month:
Gratitude is SUCH a challenging topic for survivors of narcissistic relationship. There may be days when you find it difficult to find things to be grateful for other than basics like air in your lungs, and maybe a bed to sleep in, but then simultaneously feel guilty for not being more grateful, not being more appreciative. In fact, you may have spent a childhood or a lifetime hearing that you lack gratitude when you simply make your needs known in a narcissistic relationship. Lots of people talk about the virtues of gratitude and how it can make everything better -BUT it is never that simple for survivors of these relationships. It is not as simple as saying “thank you” – but we will walk through the thorny but ultimately redemptive territory of gratitude and learn about ways to access it as part of your healing.
