Individuation Month
Healing from Narcissistic Relationships
August 2026
Month Overview:
How dare you?
How dare you have a self, separate from the narcissistic person, from your family, from your partner?
And sadly, most of us, especially if this started in childhood, had little choice but to step into line, and deny that process of individuation. Some of you may have had that individuated self, which had to become silenced in an intimate relationship. And you were treated as arrogant for wanting to have a self, preferences, interests, desires, wants, and needs that were your own.
Individuation is a normal developmental process -and it gets thwarted in these relationships.
My hope is that by the end of this month, you will hear an inner voice that says “how dare you don’t honor that true individuated self that exists within you…”
