This Relationship Has Me Seeing Red: Let’s Talk About Anger
The heat of August and the slow end of summer is enough to make anyone angry – but beyond that, this month about anger in survivors of narcissistic relationships. This one emotion deserves its own month because it is such a complex one for survivors. Narcissistic anger is often a source of fear, but our own anger can be a source of guilt, and frankly anger is often simply a sympathetic nervous system reaction to the betrayal and lack of safety raised by these relationships. It’s actually a good emotion, and a great one for survivors. So this month, we are going to take a 360 degree view of anger with a specific focus on the experience of anger and harnessing it when we are managing and healing from these relationships.
