Betrayal Month:
December 2024
Month Description:
Betrayal doesn’t quite seem like it goes with holidays and candles and decorations and gifts and parties – but frankly, I think this topic really fits in this time of year. Betrayal is a cornerstone of narcissistic abuse – and it takes in a LOT more territory than just cheating or infidelity. It does something unique to us, in terms of trust in ourselves, other people, and the world. Because we often “need” or “want” to connect to the narcissistic people in our lives, betrayal is where the journey of self-blame begins. All narcissistic relationships involve betrayal – and this month will be a deep dive into the ways this shows up in a range of relationships.
